Nature Society Singapore is a non-profit, non-government organisation that has worked to protect Singapore’s biodiversity and natural habitats since 1954, and is often consulted on major land developments. It carries out research, education, advocacy and conservation work, and runs special interest groups focused on birds, butterflies and insects, marine life, plants and vertebrates. Members of the public can join events and programmes such as the Singapore Bird Race, the Every Singaporean a Naturalist programme and the NSS Rewilding Project, or support the society as members, volunteers or donors.
